End of Tenancy Clean

Professional end of tenancy cleaning

This will include both wet and dry cleaning of all carpets, interior/exterior windows and any soft furnishings which include curtains, sofa and  mattresses but ultimately you are only liable to leave the property in the same condition as given subject to fair wear and tear, we highly recommend a pre check-out visit by our property manager who can highlight any areas that will need to be addressed before check-out.

Your London tenants only ever move property cleaned to a professional standard so please allow the next tenant the same respect, we are happy to recommend a cleaning company.

The property should be left in the same condition as the check-in report subject to fair wear and tear.

Please remember that if carpets have been cleaned prior to you Tenancy Agreement commencing then you must also have them cleaned when you vacate the premises.  Your check in / check out report is a good reminder of the condition of the property when you moved in so please request this if this has not been provided already.

If the property is not cleaned to the required standard; your deposit money will be used to have the property cleaned again plus an administration charge for giving access to our preferred/recommended company.

"Too many times we have seen tenants try to carry out an end of tenancy clean themselves or use an unknown company the result being that we then need to instruct a further clean to meet the high standards required, costs then recovered from tenants deposits via the Deposit Protection Scheme.  In turn costing tenants more money in the end. The companies we recommend do not charge additional monies if they haven’t cleaned to the required standard that they have quoted for and will at our request go back in free of charge"  Director Scott Smith

Please ensure that you allow plenty of time before check out to arrange and carry out the tasks above including cleaning, defrosting of fridge/freezer, packing your belongings, making good any areas required, disposing of rubbish from the premises and any rubbish is in the correct bin if your live in a borough who have specific bins for specific waste, YOU WILL NOT HAVE TIME after the Inventory Clerk has arrived and you will be charged for any outstanding tasks to be completed as will be treated as emergency instructions.

Carpet cleaning

Carpet can be either steam cleaned or dry cleaned. Steam cleaning of carpet is safe for most  carpets but there are carpets which if you clean with water they are very likely to shrink (natural fibre mixed carpets). Lots of people do not even know what kind of carpet they have so that is very important to call someone who can treat the carpets in the right way

Garages / Parking areas

Please ensure that these areas are clean and free from rubbish and items not stated in the check-in report.

Rubbish

If your borough follow a strict waste disposal policy, simply dumping any rubbish into the wrong bins because it not your home any more will not be acceptable and you will be charged if the rubbish is not collected and waste disposal company is required.
